SLIC Donates Rs. 10 Mn to ‘Rebuild Sri Lanka’ Fund

25th March 2026, Colombo – SLIC donated Rs. 10 million to the ‘Rebuild Sri Lanka’ Fund in support of families affected by the recent ‘Ditwah’ cyclone.
The contribution was formally handed over to the Secretary to the Treasury, Dr. Harshana Suriyapperuma, at the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development on 16th March 2026. This donation will contribute towards national relief and recovery efforts aimed at assisting communities impacted by the disaster.
Chairman of SLIC, Nusith Kumaratunga, Chief Executive Officer of SLIC Life, Nalin Subasinghe, Chief Executive Officer of SLIC General, Dr. Sameera Dharmasena, and Chief Finance Officer of SLIC Life, Sriyani Kulasinghe, were also present at the occasion.
Through this initiative, SLIC reaffirm their commitment to social responsibility, underscoring the importance of collective action in supporting communities and contributing to national recovery efforts.
